This made me think of John Denver and Peter, Paul and Mary with the song Leavin' on a Jet Plane.  With a Canadian legend, Stompin' Tom (from PEI) laid to rest this week, I decided to go Canadian. Here's a live version from the eighties of Ian and Sylvia (from the 60's and 70's, now divorced) doing Four Strong Winds.  It was voted Canada's favorite Canadian song a few years ago. They wrote the song in the sixties.

This is a grand photo -you seem to have been transformed to a bee licking the nectar ... - I have to listen to the songs I don't know.
Mary MacADNski: He is gathering pollen with his hind legs and he soon may have overweight luggage.

Fantastic detailed view of this activity Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thank you for noticing details.
Good song and a lovely picture Mary
Mary MacADNski: Thank you. I was feeling especially patriotic when I posted this. The whole country was talking about Stompin' Tom.
This reminds me of a helicopter hovering over a landing spot, Mary. Excellent image to chase away those winter doldrums. Stompin' Tom & Ian and Sylvia; Canadian musical icons. Four Strong Winds will always remain one of my favourites, Canadian or not.
Mary MacADNski: I feel the same about that song and it fits much better (from the first line) but I was feeling very patriotic last week.
Superb capture Mary, love the soft colour smile
Mary MacADNski: They are a beautiful coloured poppy.

What an extraordinary shot Mary!!! Capturing the bee in flight and all the pollen on its legs....Wow!!! Beautiful pink flower too.......Love it!!!! R.I.P. Stompin' Tom........a true Canadian Legend indeed!! smile
Mary MacADNski: The bees spent the mornings with the poppies and moved on to other flowers in the afternoons. I went out several mornings and must confess to having many, many shots.
Roll on summer. Let's hope it is a good year for beleaguered bee colonies.
Mary MacADNski: They have done ok here on the island in comparison to many places. I try to do my part.

It look like it has a huge bomb that it's about to release. A fabulous photo, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It does look like that but he was still picking up pollen. Very industrious.
Another little character looking for a landing spot. Well caught shot again Mary.
Mary MacADNski: They were busy in their pink surroundings.
Excellent capture Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Just in time.
Another fine macro Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, ?Fred, I love the macro world to tell you the truth. I miss/am going to miss this camera.
Getting a bit short of carrying capacity, by the looks of it, Mary. Great detail.
