photoblog image Make it Quick

Make it Quick

"Always adaptive to their environment,

there are about 1000 species of animals

that cats will eat."

You all know how difficult it was to get shots of camera-shy Bella over the years.  She seems to have adapted since Kenz's death and now does not immediately run when the camera is pointed at her. Over the last while she has allowed me to take her photo many, many times like this one at the end of May.

Its a fine, adventure portrait, too, Mary.

Soon she'll be bounding about the place with two little balls of fluff...
Mary MacADNski: I am wondering how she will react. It could go well or not so at all.
She posed beautifully for this one - the environment adds to the image- your garden is looking lovely!
Mary MacADNski: I was so proud of her. The shot is about a month ago when the tulips were ending.

I'm sure there is a pecking order in any environment where there is more than one cat ... maybe she has risen up the ranks and can express her new position.
Mary MacADNski: She has always been alpha cat and held the camera in disdain. I think she is trying to please me, actually.

Mary MacADNski: This is maybe the 4th shot. She is getting cranky and about to jump off.
Roar...
Mary MacADNski: LOL Meow.
She looks rather majestic Mary.
Mary MacADNski: This has been a great object for all of my cats to pose on.

It is a wonderful photo -and so finely composed!
Mary MacADNski: You're too kind.
Love the title. That is a winner Mary. She looks like she thinks it's not so bad being a model after all
Mary MacADNski: She is swell and I was proud - even carried her back to the house, praising her all the way.
Super pic'of Bella, Mary, I like your tree root ornament.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Frank. That tree root stump has been a posing spot for all of the various cats who have lived here and many a bird.

I like her perch very much and with the tulips in the background, too.
Mary MacADNski: The tulips were having their last beautiful stand.
A great observation location for Bella! Fine capture Mary.
Mary MacADNski: A stop between garden and trees or garden and deck.
She looks like a big girl, Mary - quite lynx-like.
Mary MacADNski: She looks good despite fer frailties which present themselves more every day.
A fine pose.
Mary MacADNski: She is a good girl today.
This is a fantastic image Mary... she looks like a lioness in a tree ready to puonce... i like your driftwood....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: Finally, eh? Each of my cats and adult kid's cats have had their portraits taken on this old piece of driftwood.

She's posing perfectly here!
Mary MacADNski: It is amazing to see if you know her history.
Love her expression with that direct stare, Mary. You couldn't have picked a better spot for her to pose. Beautiful!
Mary MacADNski: I think through my archives, each cat is shown on this old piece of driftwood.
Worth waiting for, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I have one of here here - from another angle a year or so ago. Rare but she truly is getting better with accepting the camera.
