Ruby and Purrl

"Kittens begin dreaming at just over one week old."

I have had the kittens home for a week.  After a lot of deliberation I have chosen the two females.  On the left is Ruby and the black and white girl is Purrl. They are getting along just fine with Bella and she is quite interested in them.

For me, it is like having a new baby in the house.  They sleep for a couple of hours and then play (thankfully they don't cry) for a couple of hours.  I'm exhausted from lack of good sleep. I am having a great time watching them in their antics though and am a little afraid of what will happen in the studios when they can get into more things. They have already discovered paint brushes and like to sleep inside my open box easel.

You picked two sweeties, Mary. Glad to hear Bella has accepted them so quickly but sorry to hear that you're not getting all the sleep you need. Hopefully, that will only be a temporary situation. Love how you've put this collage together to showcase their adorableness.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Beverly. I am enjoying them immensely but do hope I can level out the sleep situation. I don't function well on irregular sleep.
They are precious Mary... enjoy them... you can fix anything that they get into... and the rewards are just being able to watch them go and grow....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: I hope to cat-proof before I have to fix things. I also have tables of jewelry making supplies and beads. Kitty heaven.

How precious they are... and smart you are to capture these shots quickly...they grow way too fast!
Mary MacADNski: I have been so busy I have hardly taken any shots. Summer!
They're just delightful Mary.
Mary MacADNski: They are a bundle of fun. I love playing with them.

Damn it why are kittens, and these especially, so appealing ... or should that be apurring
Mary MacADNski: All babies are cute so their parents don't reject them. If for some reason they do, they are cute enough that another parent will adopt them. They are sweet as can be.
They are adorable Mary and I'm sure they will bring you a lot of fun and laughter. It's good that Bella approves too
Mary MacADNski: Bella is a little confused as to why they keep walking under her. They don't try to nurse; recognized right away that she wasn't mom. She is just the right height (or they are) that they can walk under her. It freaks her a bit.
They are both lovely, Mary,I'm sure you are enjoying them. Purri has just the same markings as our much missed Bruce,I'll enjoy watching him grow up,and Ruby.
Mary MacADNski: I realized at the time you showed Bruce that Pearl had the same markings. I like these 'tuxedo cats' and hope for many years with the pair of them.
How sweet are they Mary? Love the names. I once had a black and white cat named Jaspurr. He was an absolute terror but so adorable.
Mary MacADNski: If I had taken the orange male they were going to be PurrC and Pansy but somehow became Purrl and Ruby, little gems.

Oh what joy these must be! They must be a real little handful. Purrl is my favourite already with her white big and white socks. I look forward to seeing their first painting smile
Mary MacADNski: That's my biggest fear, putting claws into paint tubes. There is a lot of money invested in paint .

What a fluffy bundle of photo opps!
Mary MacADNski: A good way to put it...if I can get some time with the camera.
They are so cute Mary! Great choice.
Mary MacADNski: I love them already.
I did it!!... Mary got my first likey... thanks....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: Not a deserved one, but I'll take it!
With any luck they will paint you a kitty masterpiece...
Mary MacADNski: That is my fear. I would hate claws in paint tubes.
Precious!!! Great shots of these two little mischief makers! I'm glad Bella seems to be accepting them!
Mary MacADNski: They are mischief makers to be sure but so cute.

I have been waiting for this...and, am not disappointed!
Mary MacADNski: They are 'helping' me here at the moment. I'm not disappointed either.
