Cute Unwelcome Visitor

I want to put bird seed out but am waiting till the raccoons begin their hibernation.  Worse than just stealing bird seed, they break and tear apart feeders.  This cute but peskyfellow did a bit of damage here in spring.

This is a wonderful shot! I've never managed to get a pic of a raccoon. When I lived on the mesa my fish pond was raided a couple times - and like you say, they don't just eat - they tear everything apart. But oh they are adorable!
Mary MacADNski: We don't really have any predators that 'take care' of raccoons so have an overabundance.

a wonderful photo, but he looks a bit dangerous and I didn't want to meet him.
Mary MacADNski: I do not like having them either.

Oh dear - but he looks so cuute!!
Mary MacADNski: She was a young one that I saw a lot of this summer.
Great portrait! You know that after some releases they have managed to occupy some wild regions in Madrid!!! http://www.elmundo.es/elmundo/2010/11/16/ciencia/1289916239.html
Mary MacADNski: We have no predators for them. Coyotes are our biggest animals. They may get a few baby raccoons in spring but are not much help in helping to control their population.
Nice....
A problem we don't have Mary. He is a handsome little pest though isn't he
Mary MacADNski: Juan Carlos said they are now on the outskirts of Madrid.

Now that's TACK sharp! Love the expression on his little face.I expect him to talk like a Disney character any second smile
Mary MacADNski: You're too kind. He was raiding my bird feeders for a month this summer. I took them in.
I hadn't realised these cute looking characters were all that much trouble.

A nuisance, but a cute one Mary!

Does Rocky terrorise the cats, Mary?
Mary MacADNski: They usually come out at night and I keep my cats in at night. This fellow came a lot in the daylight and I think the cats were in each time I saw him.
Oh my goodness, look at that expression. She may be a destructive creature, Mary, but she sure is photogenic.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, not fattened up yet, ready to hibernate. This was in July or August.
Easy to forgive a face like that smile
Mary MacADNski: S/he was so bold. Broad daylight several times this summer.
