The Meet-Up

Since I cannot be there in person, I thought I would send my picture instead.  Every gathering should have a clown or two and if there are none in attendance at Cosford, here are a couple from Prince Edward Island.

Wish I was there with you all!

I'm sure there'll be clowns enough at Cosford, Mary. Nice to meet you.
Mary MacADNski: I thought you might need a few more. I guess I will meet you tomorrow in group shots.

Nice to meet you Mary
Mary MacADNski: I have met you so many times. It was about time for me.
Great to see you Mary. One day it will be in person!
Mary MacADNski: I really hope so, Bill. Bet you're having a blast.

Wonderful to see you, Mary! Another so young, so beautiful grandma, oh sorry! I'm sure there are quite more than one clown at the meeting- two of them have just commented on your blog!
Mary MacADNski: I am 60 so not a young grandma compared to many. I thought a few that looked like clowns would make it easier for the group.
Good to see you anyway
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Chantal. It has always been my shadow, or a crow.
Salud, Mary, encantado, Ħesa sonrisa vale un mundo!
Ramiro.
Mary MacADNski: Estoy sonriendo en el interior cuando estoy tomando parte en este blog. Gracias!
I guess those of us from Canada who couldn't be there to join in all the fun will just have to be content with enjoying the images that will be posted by those who were lucky enough to attend.

Compliments to whomever took that lovely picture of you, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Yes the photos will have to do. I hope there are lots. I think my daughter took this as were leaving to go somewhere at Christmas 2012.

I am on my way to PEI in a few weeks. I am doing an east coast trip and I am super excited. How did you enjoy it? Any suggestions for cool places to check out?
Mary MacADNski: I live here and am a nature person so I would go to beaches and the countryside. Go to both south shore beaches and north shore beaches. The center of the north shore is a National Park so no dogs are allowed and depending on the time may be charging a hefty fee..
Lovely image Mary nice to see you.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, it is a first.

i said hello for you to everyone i talked with... it was a wonderful experiencesmile
they were not short of clowns at the meet-up... they had me grin....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: I thought a few clowns who look like clowns might give the group a better chance of not appearing too rowdy.
So nice to meet you Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Thank you, Richard. Perhaps in two years, we can both attend a meet up.

We all have mental pictures of unseen people (including shutter-chancers). You look far nicer and interesting than I had ever imagined and my imagination had already created a pretty damn good image of you.
Mary MacADNski: It took some bravery to do this. It would have been much easier in person.
I think we are all clowns in Shutterchance, Mary - at least all the males. The females are much too serious for that kind of thing smile We had a great meet - I think more than 20 people, who seemed to spend more time standing around talking to one another than taking pics smile
Mary MacADNski: I think Astrid and I could be clowns amongst you fellows but I felt the need to send a couple more.

Mary - what a good idea to send your picture to join us. (I will be relpying to your email when things quieten down a little)
Mary MacADNski: No worries, no hurry. It took some bravery to do this. It would have been much easier in person. I am not shy but very, very camera shy.
Oh Mary!!! I'm so happy to see you... sure wish you'd been here in person, we did miss you and Peter said "Hello" to everyone for you!
Mary MacADNski: It took some bravery to do this. It would have been much easier in person.
Good to meet you Mary smile
Mary MacADNski: I now have the Martin's straight, even without the meetup. The meet up pictures have straightened me out.

Hello Mary smile It's good to see you! Trust me.. we had all the clowns we needed today! Shame you couldn't be with us but we had Peter and Penny waving the Canadian flag and Elizabeth from just just down the road from you waving the US flag smile
Mary MacADNski: I really wanted to make an appearance.
It's nice to see your face after all these virtual years on Shutterchance. What a nice smile...
Mary MacADNski: My Grampy's smile.
really lovely to see you in person (picture) MAry..
Mary MacADNski: It is a one time only deal. I have been shy.
At long last we get to say a real hello to the Mary we all know and love, metaphorically speaking of course. You know by now it was a great meeting and what a shame you weren't able to get things together in time to come over, there will be other times so make sure your passport is up to date.
Mary MacADNski: That's so sweet, Brian. I will make a trip our of going instead of going for a couple of rushed days. My passport has been renewed for 10 years.
Hey! Good to see you at last,Mary, a shame you couldn't be there on Sunday, it was good fun, so maybe next time.
Mary MacADNski: I am planning to do it in two years. I hope you and Eliz will be there then too.

A big, wonderful surprise, Mary.

The only thing that could be better would be meeting you in the flesh.

My trip to The Olde Country was great, and the meet-up a highlight.

I believe we all know each other well from years of web communication, and so there was no shyness evident when we were together.
Mary MacADNski: We certainly maintain common interests among us as well as photography and all seem to be good people. This is a one of.
I'm glad I check archives when I need to catch up. So nice to meet you here. Who took your lovely photo?
Mary MacADNski: I truly don't know but it was not with my camera.
