Magic Mushroom

The mushrooms I showed you last fall and winter made a return this year. I think it is so odd to have these come so late and stay through winter. In spring and summer there is no sign of it.

Snow topped mushrooms. That does seem unusual. Makes a good shot.
Mary MacADNski: I discovered them fresh in late autumn 2014. They were beautiful all winter, documented here.
I can see a penguin seating between the branches Mary...Great capture!
Mary MacADNski: Ha ha! I love that you can see something.

Just don't try to eat 'em!
Mary MacADNski: I have been trying to make a positive id since I discovered them in autumn 2014.
They look huge too Mary.
Mary MacADNski: They are, Chad. I featured them in Nov or Dec, 2014 when I discovered them and again that winter when they were like this. I am amazed that they disappear for summer.
