Three Kitties

Here are Bella and Alma from 2011 followed by Kenz, Bella and Alma.  The photos are in reverse order only seconds apart. In the bottom shot Bella's owl ears tell me she was annoyed by Alma.  Kenz is worried about what Queen Bella will do and is ready to flee. Alma was acting like a kitten.

Alma has a bit of a reprieve. My son returned today (Wednesday) but it has turned out he has to go to France in two and a half weeks so she will stay until he returns, this time for the summer. Everyone at this house is happy about the decision.

It is great fun to observe cats interacting, and to put a story to what we see.
Mary MacADNski: I knew Bella's expressive ears very well and Kenz's forever wary stance. Alma was still a bit of a kitten in those days. She still is not into toys but loves playing with other cats.
Ils sont mignons, j'adore.
Mary MacADNski: On est en visite maintenant avec mes deux nouveaux chats. Les deux assis dans la photo du bas sont maintenant dans Cat Ciel.

Just like human beings their body language reveals a lot of what they are thinking
Mary MacADNski: I knew Bella's expressive ears very well and Kenz's forever wary stance. We do read their body language the same way as we do humans.
Thank you for your cats language translation Mary! They are fascinating, aren't they?
Mary MacADNski: I knew Bella's expressive ears very well and Kenz's forever wary stance. It is strange how much Ruby is like Kenz in her waryness.

You know the body language of the cats very well. I think they have a life of Riley at your house.
Mary MacADNski: I have had cats since I was born. It is natural. Yes, cats have a good like. Next Saturday I will tell a new story, unrelated to Alma.
Great posers... I love the owl ears...
Mary MacADNski: I kept a fake owl here for about a month knowing there would be a moment when she would sit beside it in owl ears. If I ever set up the new scanner I bought last spring, I will find it and scan it.
Nice photo!
Mary MacADNski: Thank you, Roland. It is from 2011.
I figure Alma is yours for the duration now, Mary - she won't want to go anywhere else after this length of time!
Mary MacADNski: She most definitely wants to stay but my son says he is taking her home. She loves other cats and will miss them a lot. She will miss sleeping on beds too as he keeps his bedroom doors closed. She lived here five months the first time she lived here.
Fun images to illustrate your story! And yes - I'm sure you are very happy to continue in Alma's company! smile
Mary MacADNski: We are all happy to keep Alma a few more weeks. She ramps up the cat-playing quotient greatly as Ruby is so shy that Purrl gave up trying to play with her. Alma did not know this history so jumped right in playing ambush twenty times a day.
