Might have just travelled through a little Purple Rain, Mary...
Mary MacADNski: I wore purple today. So sad.

Joli contre-jour.
Mary MacADNski: Quelle belle façon de le regarder!
I love the look of the water in your shot, Mary!

I'm guessing it's the UV / anti glare tint? In AZ - we have our car windows tinted to stave off... glare, interior fabric fade and more importantly... ya know, skin cancer and macular degeneration... smile There are DIY kits that have inferior tint film that starts to look blue / purple very quickly.

I enjoyed the JJ Cale track!
Mary MacADNski: Window tinting is illegal here but we do not have the sun problems. I am speaking of cars not boats though.
What a beautiful backlight shot Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard. In a boat you can get sun in so many directions.

Polarised glass?
Something to do with the strengthening of the glass I believe Mary.

The sparkling water is very strong. Interesting to read Martine's comment.. so contre-jour is French for what us Brits call contre-jour smile
But as they say, photos do not lie! They often surprise us!

I think Chris may be right.

There is a JJ Cale tobacconist in our local mall, but I think you meant someone else.
It could be glass with a tint to it.

Great sparkles on the water.

Thank you for the J J Cale link, I haven't heard any for ages, I am now off to listen to more!

That might have been the reflection of the sky...which will be blue, seeing all the stars in the water.
great shot.
Looks like a powerful craft, Mary.
I do indeed. Nice to hear this
