photoblog image Old Point Prim Wharf

Old Point Prim Wharf

I am back to the fascinating to me, Photos- June 2011 file

On the left is the ruin of an old wharf that has a nice beach. My children and I went here many times when they were young. Later the land was purchased and the new owner closed the road to the beach.  Now we have to walk around the point and up for a ways, past the sea stacks, to get here.

It is not hard to see why you would love this place, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: The nice sandy beach is not even in view but that is the memory this brings.
Such an amazing landscape, Mary! I love the bird soaring high in the top photo!
Mary MacADNski: I did not even show the beach but that is the memory here.

The bird adds even more to the top photo but I'm fascinated - too - by the stack in the lower image. I'm trying to scale this; wild guess would have it at about 3m?
Mary MacADNski: Not that high, but almost.

Happy memories eh Mary..
Mary MacADNski: Yes, and I did not show the sandy beach to the other side at all.
A fascinating place indeed Mary. Look at this rock!
Mary MacADNski: This is from a beach in the neighbourhood.
It does look a lovely place to go,whether ones children are there or not, and I guess it has a lot of nice memories for you. The stack is really impressive.
Mary MacADNski: It has a lovely sandy beach past the old ruined wharf.
i love the seascape Mary but the sea stack is fantastic... made from the red Prince Edward Island stone... it even hat grass growing on top...
i like your June 2011 file....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: I am loving the file as all these shots have been refound.
