Beaver Art

To finish off the beaver pond series this week, I have left the boats in the water and off this page. Boats, waterways, and harbours were very busy as lobster season began last Saturday.

Tara, my daughter's friend who fishes with her dad is bringing me 'a feed' this Saturday, for Mother's Day.  She has done it since she was in school, sweet thing.

I am thinking I see Beaver in this shot, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: You see it's work certainly and some blurry work from me. I turned off sharpen on uploading and it has made a difference.
A super reflection shot!
Mary MacADNski: Kind of you. I noticed this morning that I chose one out of focus. Always in a hurry...
Jolis reflets. On dirait que les arbres sont coupés en deux.
Mary MacADNski: They have been chewed on by the busy beaver. This is across the road from me. It was a small stream feeding my pond. It is now a pond.

Well I can imagine them there..
Mary MacADNski: I can only imagine them too.
The beavers are surely in paradise there, Mary. Good for them...and you, even if you don't see them.

But "a feed" for Mother's Day? I assume that means a nice meal, in which case I hope you take some pics and show us.
Mary MacADNski: I will get my friend to make sure I get to see them.

A first taste of spring lobster is a treat and can be eaten in a hundred ways. A feed means you have as many lobster as you can eat. What Tara brings and my son brings, I can have several meals. I will bring some to a friend who doesn't get many lobsters. I can have them whenever I want from friends and local fishers. Today in grocery stores for the Mother's Day weekend they are $5.99 a pound raw and 6.99 cooked.
Have an enjoyable Mother's Day Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It will be swell. Tara brings a ton of lobster on Saturday that I will share. On Sunday my son will bring me more lobster or some wonderful place for a meal.
Leave the beavers some privacy, I say... enjoy your feed, Mary...
Mary MacADNski: I never disturb them. I killed one once on a highway. Another story.
Wonderful reflections shot Mary!

Another fascinating photograph of the beaver art - yes, you have deserved a present for Mother's Day.
Mary MacADNski: Lots and lots of wonderful food. I have just returned from the grocery store too.

You are lucky to know Tara. Do you think it is worthwhile to send her my address?
Mary MacADNski: Haha. I say visit at the end of July for the annual boat poker run.

Lucky you. we love fish and what a perfect meal for the Sunday too... I love these super reflections. I hope the beavers will keep building there 'house'...
Mary MacADNski: I eat mostly fish and seafood and have a steady supply of the best. I am excited about the beavers to tell the truth.
