photoblog image Fluffy Cattail

Fluffy Cattail

This link has different information on cattails than an earlier link. The loosened seeds of the plant can easily be seen here ready to get moved about by herons, ducks, frogs, raccoons, foxes, and cats.

Love this gif of Frida Kahlo from Open Culture.

Celui-là  est complètement explosé
Mary MacADNski: They are all like this except yesterday's. I could only find that one.
Some have already been moved Mary. Fine capture.
Mary MacADNski: They were all exploded like this.
Nice one, it looks weirdly edible
Mary MacADNski: They are edible at the next stage- http://www.eattheweeds.com/cattails-a-survival-dinner/
I have links today and yesterday but they are not very noticeable.

Mary MacADNski: I love this gif, so clever using her own images.

I think Frida might be quite impressed with this gif
Mary MacADNski: I think so too that she would have approved. It is a celebration of her work.
I like the art of Frida, and wonder why they chose her for this gif Mary. I think the photo of her must be pre for horrendous accident as there seems little sign on her fa e of the pain that she had to subsequently live with.
Mary MacADNski: No one else has done so many self-portraits in such similar styles and sizes that you could use in this manipulation. Truly there are many, many more of her images. This is just a small taste(celebration)

I can well see how the seeds latch on to passing "friend" to help them on their travels.
Mary MacADNski: Yes. Humans do a lot too. When I am stomping around there my feet move it to the ground. I have removed it from the area during winter when we would skate on the pond years ago.
THe Gif is very interesting. I confess I had to look her up first!
Mary MacADNski: Please watch the movie Frida any way you can. It will be unforgettable for you. It shows her art in the most unique
(wonderful) way.

Nature's candy floss!
Mary MacADNski: I suppose so. This part can be made into a meal or flour I believe.
Ready to spread!
Mary MacADNski: You're a day early.
Beautiful detail, Mary!
Love that Frida Kahlo gif!! I don't really care for her art- but have always found her an amazing, strong feminist personality - way ahead of her time!
Mary MacADNski: I agree but love her art. Did you see the movie, Frida? It is an amazing spectacle that I highly recommend if you have not.
