Red Rock Love

A last look at my new favorite rocky beach.

I have boat music instead of a boat shot today, an incredible a capella performance by Stan Rogers, a singer I have featured here before.

Lovely red erosion!
I enjoyed Stan and friends
Mary MacADNski: Stan was one who died way to young with some of the best folk songs ever written.

Très jolie couleur pour cette roche.
Mary MacADNski: There is no adjustment. This is the true colour.

This is beautiful, for some reason I love the red soil/rocks. I can imagine being this a special place to be for you. Amazing those trees up there.
Mary MacADNski: We had just reached a corner and hat to turn here towards the girls. I took a ton of shots of the weird trees on the way in so far. I took over 300 shots.
These red rocks are stunning Mary!
Mary MacADNski: As always, Brian. Too bad I didn't spend more time on sandy beaches like most people but love the rocks.
I totally understand why this has become your new favorite rocky beach, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: I forgot to tell my son I'd like him to take me there by boat too to pick up some rocks.

That tree on the edge is living a precarious life
Mary MacADNski: I could make a series of the strange trees I took before getting to this point. We had just reached a corner and hat to turn here towards the girls. I took a ton of shots of the weird trees on the way in so far.
This fine song makes a good end to your series Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Stan was an incredible writer and singer. He died too young because someone smoked in an airplane bathroom.

Don't forget to take us back here, soon, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: The way in could be a series on its own owing to very strange curled trees and bushed hanging over the shorter cliffs.

The exposed tree roots shows the fragility of the those cliffs. I expect a good wintr storm will see at least the tree on the left toppling down.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, this is a very curvy part of the estuary where the river meets the bay and it gets severe erosion problems. It is filling in with a lot of sand too.
I rally enjoy seeing this wonderful rock when you post pictures like this, it looks so fragile.
Mary MacADNski: It is fragile and the bigger storms are causing such terrible erosion.

If this is anything like our red rock, you won't sit down on them. Clothes would be ruined for life. Still they are special.
Mary MacADNski: Not so much except for white socks in things like soccer and baseball. It is basically sand so falls off.

The rock colour is impressive Mary.
Mary MacADNski: True and natural, not twiddled in the least.
Funnily enough I am listening to a Stan Rogers track as I am typing this....The Last watch. I bought one of his albums thanks to you. Wonderful voice and such a tragic death
Mary MacADNski: There are some people you know would have produced so much more. I think of Jimi Hendrix in particular. Where would HE have taken the guitar?. I am a big Stan fan.
I wonder how long those trees are going to survive - the erosion looks pretty bad! Great song!
Mary MacADNski: They usually live a while hanging on by the roots.
