Yes - they are so perfect, they look like aluminum in the B&W... yet that color is so lovely!
Mary MacADNski: I can see the metallic of which you speak. Thanks.

Personnellement, je préfère en couleur, c'est tellement beau.
Mary MacADNski: I like to have the challenge of finding a photo that converts well to black and white. Certainly not all do.

Yes.

In fact, Mary, I think it would even look good in dog-poo brown.
Mary MacADNski: I am not a big sepia fan unless it is used in the very right situation.

The b&w is very good
Mary MacADNski: I try out several every 'roll' and convert one or two that are worthy of b/w. Not all are.
Wonderful in both cases Mary!
Mary MacADNski: It converted well.

Elizabeth is right - the B & W looks metallic. Both are lovely
Mary MacADNski: I like how it converted. I lightened it a bit as the straight conversion was dark.
Excellent and different, Mary...the two faces of!
Mary MacADNski: Many faces in here. Look again.

You are right. This is beautiful. BOTH pictures. The B&W is so intense.
Mary MacADNski: The B/W was darker. I lightened it a small amt.
I agree Mary, it works well in both forms.

The black is beautiful, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Absolutely, thank you.
A wow posting today Mary, who'd have thought flowers could look so good in black.
Mary MacADNski: I think flowers convert well sometimes but sometimes they do not at all.
i like both, the black version looks more lustrous in a way, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Lustrous is a goood work for these spring flowers. Thank you.

You have created an almost metallic feel to the monochrome image - great stuff!
Mary MacADNski: I did not work hard but think I could have found a good subj. for playing around.
