Even Prince would have found inspiration here, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Ah, that made my day.

These are beautiful and I love your picture from yesterday. These lupines are so photogenic.
The top one with the backlight is a beauty.
Mary MacADNski: I went out on several days to photograph them, not out, I mean in my own garden, in different lights. I also took some at Jack's house.
A wonderful lupins forest Mary!
Mary MacADNski: I wish you could see them everywhere.

You are delighting us with your lupins this week, Mary
Mary MacADNski: I am showing them only from my garden and Jack the dog's yard. The island roads and edges of fields and driveways are lined with them. Tres magnifique!

A regal colour
Mary MacADNski: Areas change over the years, colourful fields changing to predominantly purple then back to colourful again. I have found that so interesting.

I love lupins - we used to have a fine display in our garden when I was a child. The soil isn't right here but your photo has made me nostalgic!
Mary MacADNski: In seeing photos from the world I believe this variety grows where there are frosts in winter. With climate change perhaps your winter temps have risen and you get less frost. Of course there could be different varieties for warmer climates.

Wow, check that boca! I like the back lighting on the purple petals.
Mary MacADNski: I took only a few 'only purple' ones.
One of my favourite flowers, indeed one of the few I actually know the names of.
Mary MacADNski: You fellows are incorrigible.

Oooooh yessss.. I like the vibrant colours very much.
Mary MacADNski: These are a bit different than the tourism dept comes up with.
These are not like the many coloured Hybrids we see here then?
Mary MacADNski: I expected that when I heard they grow there, that the variety might be different and that it would be the multicoloured I see there an other places in the EU. I hope that phrase does not hurt.
Very good photo!
Mary MacADNski: Thank you, Roland, Cuidado.
Looks like a lupin jungle smile
Mary MacADNski: I took very different photos of them this year.
I love how these are so beautifully illuminated, Mary! Lovely photos!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks. After so many years I had to try something new.
