Lovely Lupins 3

These white lupins in my garden echo the birch trees behind them. I like the twining vetch weed in the second shot.

Lupins grow very tall but the shots this week were taken when they were at their early stage with their tops still undeveloped. I think they are especially pretty at this time of year but many would disagree.

I mentioned earlier in the week that besides lupins,  Anne of Green Gables was a tourist draw.

I found this on Twitter this week:

Beautiful DOF....makes the flower pop!
Mary MacADNski: I took that shot with the white in many, many versions and like all of them.

I wouldn't disagree, Mary
Mary MacADNski: That white one is about 20 inches long and fading now, not nearly as pretty.

The pink one is pretty
Mary MacADNski: There are so many pink shades.
Lupins always remind me of Mknty Python's Robin Hood sketch Richard.
Mary MacADNski: I should remember that as I remember some of the old Monty Python. That would be good to watch again.
Very pretty indeed Mary! Mine are at this stage at the moment.
Mary MacADNski: That white one is about 20 inches long and fading now as our area is the first to get them. There are fresh ones at other places.
I have done it again and called you by the wrong name Mary. I had been used to Martine and Richard being number one and two on the SC list these days.
Mary MacADNski: Pay attention, Chad.
Lovely Bokeh and DOF smile
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Rob. I played with several combinations with that top shot.

Ok...laughed out loud!
Mary MacADNski: Finally! The English are too polite to see the humour perhaps.

More lovely lupins - I used to live in the North of England so you comment re the frost probably rings true, perhaps it was also the acidity of the soil - we have clay here which isn't good for much!
Mary MacADNski: That is true about the soil too though PEI has more clay soil in the west and they grow well there too. On the east where I am the soil is sandy.
I still like these Lupins, as much as Tuesdays, even if I am incorrigible smile
