Beach Days 3

This and the next few photos are  from an Ontario Beach on Lake Huron.  I found it interesting that dogs were allowed at one end of the beach but nowhere else in the park.

Here's another old film from the National Film Board.  So creative and a great CDN song by the Mc Garrigle Sisters:

Le ciel et la mer se rejoignent. Jolis bleus.
A lovely calm day....
Enjoyed the video - aren't those guys amazing!
Mary MacADNski: I have had this song in my head all week and have made that apparent in the job. I sing all day.

The sand is a different colour from what you normally carry home in your toe crevasses, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I am 'away' in this series.
classic beach shot..... not a huge surf smile.
The gull holds our attention . . . . . .
Mary MacADNski: I live on salt water. This is one of the five Great Lakes of North America, not at all my briny habitat.

Happy balmy days
Mary MacADNski: It was so hot in southern Ontario. We had to get to the beach. I live on salt water. This is one of the five Great Lakes of North America, not at all my briny habitat.
Oh, how fun...the log-driver waltz! grin
Mary MacADNski: I remember this song - buy different people from earlier days.
No dogs in sight Mary! Fine capture.
Mary MacADNski: The dog was playing with the children. I have shots of that too.

Non-dog lovers were no doubt pleased, Mary
Mary MacADNski: Absolutely!!! I thought it was brilliant. We have that here too but the park is the boundary. This was in-park. You had to pay to enter their prov. parks. There is no charge to go to the beach here.
Shallow water then Mary. I remember, as a child, being fascinated by this method of getting felled logs downstream, as I saw on television. The songs sounds somewhat Irish to me.
Mary MacADNski: It does have an Irish lilt, I agree. Follow a few links from here amd perhaps your childhood fascinations could be explored quite easily. I am finding that so with google.

Looks like seagull does not want to get its feet wet. Looks like a few people think it's warm enough for bathing.
Mary MacADNski: It was in the thirties, in early afternoon! We bothered to cook brie cheese on a cedar plank. I suggested if we waited a bit longer it would melt without the addition of fire.
Looks nice and shallow, just right for the kids. Those log driving guys must have excellent senses of balance, but it is/was surely a very dangerous occupation.
Mary MacADNski: This is muddy and poopy where the birds were. The others were around the point in swimming water.
I love the video!!
Mary MacADNski: Isn't that a treat. When younger I accessed the NFB constantly so know many of these old films I am showing now.

Don't you just love being at the beach and 'float around'.....
Great shot!!!!
Mary MacADNski: I live on salt water on the coast near the ocean. This is one of the five landlocked Great Lakes of North America, not at all my briny habitat.
Lake Huron is a wonderful lake Mary... the northern part opens into the part of the lake called Georgian Bay... i have posted quite a few photos of the flat rock islands and windswept pine over the years....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: I know Georgian Bay only in relation to the geography concerning it's tie in to Wasaga Beach and Barrie.
