Sunday Sky

This was shot from the back door a month ago. Summer is flying by. We were promised rain yesterday and did not get it. It is extremely dry here.

Très jolie composition entre ces nuages et les bottes de paille.

Very nice agriscape out the back door, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I liked when the farm had milk cows there in the 80's and 90's.

How nice to have a field right outside the back door
Mary MacADNski: It was more wonderful when it held milk cows.
A wonderful sky indeed Mary!
Mary MacADNski: There have been wonderful skies recently.
the cloud formations are very nice, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Even nicer recently with some towering cumulous, thunderheads.
You certainly have a fine view from your home Mary, do you live out in the countryside?
Mary MacADNski: This is from the very back. I thought everyone knew I lived in the country with a commute.

Rain must play a big part in the life of farmers. Too much or too little at the wrong time can make such a difference to the crops. It's been dry and very hot here now for the past week; we've had no rain this month.
Mary MacADNski: Sounds like here and yes, yes the farmer's livelihood depends entirely on the amount of moisture in the soil. Right now, everything is plentiful because of a great blossom season bur small, because of the lack of rain.
you have a wonderful view from your back door Mary...
we have had all kinds of rain and thunderstorms over the past two weeks... you are welcome to it...
my internet was knocked since Friday night... lots of trees have been taken down in the high winds... we got lucky... ours simply bent with the wind....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: I'm sorry to hear that. My relatives at Wasaga Beach and Barrie did not get that weather thankfully.
Pretty dry here, too, Mary - the clouds keep gathering but give up very little!
Mary MacADNski: It rains all around us. The town where my kids went to school got floods last week at the same time. Charlottetown got heavy rains that same night an we, between the two, received not a drop.
It's too darn hot down here--I wish summer would fly by...
Mary MacADNski: Oh dear! Come here for a vacation to cool down. I am only booked next week and the third weekend of September.
