photoblog image Queen Anne's Lace

Queen Anne's Lace

Flowers fit for a Queen. This shot was taken along a dirt road.

When climate change really hits us and widespread drought occurs, Queen Anne's Lace will still be beautifying our fields and our lawns.  Our grass is burned brown but some people's lawns are covered with knee high  QAL. I think it is gorgeous but find most people are not in agreement and are mowing it down. I have only a few plants on my lawn but have many very small daisies instead.

I've seen this or similar in the UK. It is amazing what will survive in a drought. Our grass is brown, too, and things like very drab. Rain is on the way by the weekend, though smile
They promised us in England better weather with climate change Mary. I'm still waiting.
So beautiful and délicate Mary! We call them "carottes sauvages" in French.

We have had too much rain in the last weeks. But now the harvest could start. I love your white flowers.

Look very pretty to me and the insects seem to like them too.
I've always thought this a very pretty plant, wild or cultivated, a nice plant to see.
A lovely bouquet... I like the flies on it...
Well whatever, it looks nice here, Mary.
It certainly attracts the insects!
i cannot imagine people mowing them, Mary. i love your shots.
