Mary MacADNski: That is what attracted me, peter.

I love both of these but particularly the B&W. It brings out the lines and contrast quite nicely.
Mary MacADNski: I think so too. Thanks, Beth.
Oh me too! The B&W photo is lovely - but I like how the sunlight in the color photo really shows up!
Mary MacADNski: It was deeply coloured as the plant was quite shaded.

Je préfère de beaucoup la deuxième photo qui montre bien les jolies couleurs des fleurs.
Mary MacADNski: You always seem to like the colour. I am a fan of colour mostly but like to play once in a while.

I think I am with Martinee here, Mary - they are just so pretty in colour
Mary MacADNski: This mallow was deeply coloured as the plant was quite shaded.
I do, too, Mary. And it's fun to see the before and after (or in this case, the after and the before!).
Mary MacADNski: I wish I could remember to upload both.
Great conversion in B&W Mary!
Mary MacADNski: I like it too. Thanks, Richard.

Nice colour aren't they
Mary MacADNski: They are darker than usual because they are shaded.

The colour version has it for me; such glorious colours.
Mary MacADNski: A darker than usual mallow due to shade.
So much more attractive in monotone Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I like it too.
So do I
Mary MacADNski: ditto

The colour one for me, Mary. So beautiful against the greens around it.
Mary MacADNski: I shot it only because it was unusually dark. It is growing in shade.

Lovely tonality, especially as the sun touches some of the flowers.
Mary MacADNski: It worked quite well.
Nice to see this comparison
Mary MacADNski: I want to remember to do that. I am still working on a sub-optimum computer level. Like is too darned busy.

It is amazing what colour can change to a picture. LOVE the B&W though and the sun does make the difference.
Mary MacADNski: The colour version shows darker than uual mallow because it has been growing in shade.
I like both versions, shame you haven't got the software to just pop the flowers themselves, just for fun of course.
Mary MacADNski: it would be fun but no time for that.
Works well in mono, but I think I like the colour best.
Mary MacADNski: Both are evocative of different things to me.
Like the b/w... not that you asked for a vote... smile
