Flutterby 2

This one has a companion. Again, I don't have an identity for the butterflies in this Tuesday series.

This is a Fritillary of some sort, Mary
Mary MacADNski: I hoped you would know. Tom says - Atlantis Fritillary - http://www.accdc.com/mba/profiles/speyeria-atlantis.html

It is a lovely capture, Mary...I would be inclined to name this one Florence!

Looks like that there is plenty of blossom to be shared. I think you will find that this a Pretty Butterfly.
Mary MacADNski: Sounds good enough for me but it has been identified.
Not a suitable mate though Mary, but perhaps the flutterby is already married.
Mary MacADNski: I think they are simply passers by, enjoying Terry's garden.

A lovely capture Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Anne, a chance encounter.
I'm sure Lisl will know... and there she is, supported in her identification by Chris. Perusal of the Maritimes Butterfly Atlas leads me to suspect that it may be the Atlantis Fritillary - http://www.accdc.com/mba/profiles/speyeria-atlantis.html
Mary MacADNski: Thanks so much. Glad to have a researcher among us.
It's a lovely photo of a lovely thing!
