Très belle composition !
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Martine. The exposure needs some work.

Lunch time on the water
Mary MacADNski: Exactly. We feed the birds when we leave for home.
You can't go wrong with your Leonard Cohen, Mary...or your boats and birds.
Mary MacADNski: I wish I'd played Bob Dylan with the wonderful news of the Nobel Prize.

The boids are enjoying themselves, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Having their poker run feast, the last served.

I like the lighting in this very much. I like the final approach of the gull about to ditch. I've never got into Leonard Cohen although he is my era, I guess.
Mary MacADNski: This week's shots are from the unassigned bin. I uploaded this the day after the last boat run, unedited. It was my first shot, without looking at any settings of course.

That stretch of water looks so varied, Mary
Mary MacADNski: There is activity around us though we see boats just sitting. We are readying to leave (feeding the birds) and our visitors have just left, hence the lines in the water. My camera had been set to them and I snapped this when I turned around.
I love the light and the way you have caught these birds in action Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It was a mistake. My camewra was set for people on a visiting boat. They left and I turned around and snapped this.

So, Leonard is still with us. Yesterday, Bob received the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature. I was a bit surprised at how he looks now.

Great shot of the gulls in various action modes.
Mary MacADNski: I am so happy about Bob Dylan's wonderful and well-deserved Nobel Prize. Leonard is our (CDN) Bob. Thanks bout the shot.

This is an excellent picture, Mary. Love the three boats waiting there and the birds being fed...
Mary MacADNski: We are readying to leave and treating the birds. They enjoy this annual celebration as much as we do.
i love it all Mary... and the way that the sun flare dances off of the water where the birds created some swirls on the surface....petersmile

Nice capture, Mary - Cohen is not a taste I have acquired smile
Mary MacADNski: He is a poet with an unusual voice bur has made the best of it. I think he is a huge star in Sweden.
Remarkable freezing of the bird action... maybe Leonard Cohen will get the Nobel next year... smile
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Larry. I think Bob Dylan, Van Morrison or Leonard would all have made a great choice but out of the three if forced, I would have chosen Bob too. He is cited as the influence of so many that followed.
