Wooden Wonder

The Spanish ship El Galeon Andalucia recently visited the island.  We arrived late, as it was closing down for visitors. I lightened the shot a lot as it was almost dark.

Il est magnifique !
Mary MacADNski: I wish we had arrived earlier.
What a wonderful thing, Mary! I'm glad you got to see it, and share it with us!
Mary MacADNski: Hunger topped photographs in my group, sadly, though I was hungry too.
Isn't she just a wonderful "three masts" vessel Mary?
Mary MacADNski: She was amazing for my short time with her.

I see she has ancient, inflatable tender alongside, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It might be handy at high tide. It was here for a weekend.

A wonderful looking thing, presumably a galleon?
Mary MacADNski: It was, as in the name which I should have italicized.
I was fascinated by Spanish galeons as a child Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I hope you have a chance to see one day. If it were important to me I would have managed to fit it better into the weekend calendar.
Francis Drake and his chums sank a few of these grin
Mary MacADNski: You and Gutteridge and a few of my friends would be well aware of this.

Oh, I imagine the ships of the Spanish Armada- very impressive, good that you got a capture of this Wooden Wonder!
Mary MacADNski: I got a few but in low light. I have edited this and all the shots from that evening.
considering the low light, i would say you got a terrific shot, Mary. this is an excellent ship and i like the low set, barrel like look of her.
Mary MacADNski: The hungry won the schedule rather than the photography. I could have held on.
What a fine ship, shame they've got a modern inflatable tied up to its side.
Mary MacADNski: It was there a weekend so the inflatable would become very handy.

A wonder indeed. I can spend some time looking at it.
Mary MacADNski: I wish we had made it on time but hunger won the day.

Now there's fine sight. It's a shame that you missed the opportunity to visit it but it looks good in the harbour.
Mary MacADNski: I got a few shots, all boosted for exposure.
Wow, isn't that impressive, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It is hard to get some people moving. I was raring to go all day and got there at dusk.
Great shot... who can resist those wooden ships...
Mary MacADNski: It was available for boarding for two days, but we were late. Urrgh!
