Autumn Colours

These shots were taken on the 17th and 18th,  a week after the storm that toppled my apple tree. The trees without leaves were lost at that time. The second is from my back yard.

Superbes couleurs automnales. Sur la première, on dirait presque une peinture.
Mary MacADNski: I agree.

Totally gorgeous!
Mary MacADNski: Pretty as a picture.
Look at these tones Mary!
Mary MacADNski: True Maritime splendor. It is why the cruise ships are here at this time of year.

The colours are changing
Mary MacADNski: With the wind, a lot of leaves have fallen.

What a delightful view you have from your backyard. Being a city boy, I have to travel out into the nearby New Forest National park to enjoy a similar spectacle.
Mary MacADNski: Beef cows with calves in that field sometimes too.

You have a pleasing view from your backyard, Mary
Mary MacADNski: Usually there are some beef cows and their calves in the view as well.

Lovely Autumnal colours.
Mary MacADNski: Cruise ships come here and the rest of the east coast for the colours.
Oh no Mary, I hope you have another apple tree at least.
Mary MacADNski: I have many apple trees but this 100 yr old MacIntosh was a favorite.
Lovely mix of colours on those trees.
Mary MacADNski: They were lovely but fell rapidly after a windy autumn. We have gusts of 80 km forecast for tonight.
two beautiful Autumn scenes Mary... the top one makes everything blend in softly...
and your second picture is more crisp....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: I intended two different looks, one for everyone.
You still have a fine show of autumn colours Philine
Mary MacADNski: Not really. We have had a lot of wind for three weekends so the leaves are quickly blown off in those conditions.

Very beautiful! We don't have fall down here in Houston, and I miss it a lot. One of these years, I will have to plan a trip in the fall so I can see the autumn colors again. Either that, or I may have to move up North again.
Mary MacADNski: It can be beautiful but some years are better than others. This year we have had winds three weekends in a row. As the leaves loosen they have soon blown off.
Wow - that backyard shot is really something!
Mary MacADNski: I share it with cattle who are the ones who make those trees so leggy from rubbing on them.
i like both the shots but the second one is my favourite.
Mary MacADNski: The leaves are there for such a short time if the conditions are windy like we have had for the last three weekends.
