Boats on Boats

This is a different boat than the other cruise ship shown a couple of Fridays ago.  They were side by side and a third cruise ship was present in the harbour as well.

The day after the US election results a friend of mine from years ago posted a prayer that she performed and published on YouTube. I had music already posted for yesterday so would like to place this here, a prayer for protection in dark times.

What is Freestyle Cruising...is that where no-one is steering the ship, and so there is a good chance it will end up on the rocks?
Mary MacADNski: I will never know the answer to that one.
Wonderful Mary. I like the "Frestyle" cruising!
Mary MacADNski: Rar ha an idea. I have none.

If anyone's going to protect us then St Michael will..
Mary MacADNski: That is the name of my parish.
Boats on boats, indeed! And now prayers through song for our longing souls. Thank you.
Mary MacADNski: You listened to the prayer. Thank you.

What a big cruise - 'dawn' sounds very optimistic - we need prayers for protection now in dark times. I read that many Americans want to become Canadians now.
Mary MacADNski: Our immigration websites crashed twice after the election. I feel sorry for the Americans like I do for the English we know who were against the Brexit vote.
Judging by the protests against Trump across America we are in for a rough ride
Mary MacADNski: I would be protesting too like I did in the 60's there around Boston. I admired the old ladies who were there then.
Good luck with the infux of 'refugees' from downm South Peter. Nice music.
Mary MacADNski: It is not that easy to immigrate. She is a legend, this singer, a long time friend.
I mean Mary, naturally.
Mary MacADNski: I am glad to have made a mark somewhere for you to recognize that.

The very sound of that music sounds all embracing and protective, Mary. Chris is a great believer in St. Michael's protection
Mary MacADNski: St Michael's is my parish. The music is from a long time friend.

It is hard to imagine being on such a huge vessel. As for driving it ......
Mary MacADNski: To drive this requires a Master Mariner. I was married to one once.
i like the long rows of balconies, Mary. fine crop here.
Mary MacADNski: I love this crop and the one a few weeks ago where I can see the people, mostly workers, hanging out.
As I think I said before, and Maureen feels much the same, we would not wish to travel on one of these enormous things along with thousands of others.
Mary MacADNski: I know many who love it and would not pass up an opportunity to go on one. I have not been on one but have no fear of one.

My patron Saint, I hope he is listening because I fear the worse. Still must try and keep positive.
Mary MacADNski: My parish is St. Michaels. I must read up about him.

As cruise ships go, this one looks fairly relatively small. No way would I want to go on it, though. "St. Michael" used to be the own-label brand of our major department stores. St. Michael underpants clothed virtually every male back in the 1960s.
Mary MacADNski: This iThis is huge! There were two huge ones and a medium sized one in the harbour that day.
The Norwegian Dawn is smaller than the one we took to Alaska...
perhaps i would have fared out much better on this smaller ship... less distance to walk to and from dinner Mary...

the prayer to Sante Michael Archangel is quite fitting when we are in limbo with our neighbours to the south....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: Wow. I thought this was big. All prayers are welcomed fro our southern neighbours.
We must be blessed our Parish church in Stone is St Michael's. I enjoyed the haunting music on the clip, thought provoking.
Mary MacADNski: Debbie is an old friend from the 70's still active in the music scene. She has a couple of other songs on her youtube to listen to.
Where does one go to escape the idiocies of the world?
Mary MacADNski: I am going nowhere!
That's one big boat... smile
Mary MacADNski: Not the biggest but big eh? smile
