Spring Foxes

I have a pocket camera that stays in the car most of the time.  I emptied it the other day and found these fox shots taken from the back yard of my workplace in June.  I may have shown one from the other camera around that time.

One of them has black markings, unusual in my experience, in the UK at least
Mary MacADNski: We call them silver foxes. They are the very same species as the red fox but a common colour variation. I have seen some very black ones. I don't know why they are called silver.

They are having great fun larking around. Hove you seen the John Lewis ad?
Mary MacADNski: I don't watch TV so have to say no.
They are lovely animals Mary, and clearly not fussy eaters.
Mary MacADNski: They are not eating here at all, just playing.

Now they look like cubs enjoying a bit of play flighting; mum is nearby to keep an eye on them. My mother used to feed a vixen; she would call "Foxy! Foxy!" and the fox would appear, sometimes during the spring with a few cubs.
Mary MacADNski: We are encouraged not to feed foxes but many people do. They live in the city too because people deed them there. I do love watching babies.

Handsome youngsters, Mary...are they natives of PEI, or did some hunter nutcase introduce 'em [as happened in Oz]?
Mary MacADNski: The red fox is native here. The black (called silver) is a colour variation of the red fox.
always a pleasure to watch young ones at play, brushing up on several social skills, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, they weThey were certainly interesting to watch.
Very fine series of images Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Brian. The camera was at it's limit.
Try googling The 2016 John Lewis Christmas clip, you will see some crazy foxes there. (Computer generated I believe.)
Mary MacADNski: OMG! That was funny - a good advertisement. I have now just seen the one from 2015.
The one with more black almost could pass for a dog. They are lovely to watch. Exceptional collage! Mary
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Sue. They are both canine so very similar at this stage. I know many dogs who resemble foxes even when grown and once lived with a Foxy.
