This is gorgeous - the B&W looks like a silver etching!!
I love that song- the lyrics are so lovely!
Mary MacADNski: Great song done by so many... Thank you for admiring my etching.

Yeah...gimme colours!
Mary MacADNski: Me too, Ray. My world revolves around colour. I think that is why I enjoy the black and white Monday.
Both are nice shots, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Straight, one button conversion, all that I do.

I love those yellow autumn colours
Mary MacADNski: They were so brilliant. I was out only one really good day.
I really like both versions, Mary, and would be hard-pressed to pick one. How nice that we can see both here on the same page.
Mary MacADNski: You are used to playing around with colours, backgrounds, layers, etc. This is simply a one button conversion to black and white.

You just showed the magic of black and white... great pictures both, however I favor the B&W
Mary MacADNski: It is so much better sometime. I posted a shot of Jack the dog a couple of months ago. The b/w is so much better. It is one of my favorite shots of the year.
They make a fine pair Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I like putting both as so many times peole say I'd like to see it in colour.

I like you habit of sometimes showing both, Mary
Mary MacADNski: People were wanting to see it in colour and it is easy enough.

The colour version for me; so much more subtle variations can be seen. I do like the contrast in the b&w version, though.
Mary MacADNski: I think the contrast is so great a bit is lost in the b/w. If the shot were improved beforehand than black and whited, it would be better.

I would go for the B&W with the dramatic light and dark.
Mary MacADNski: It is very dramatic but it loses some detail.
I prefer the real thing, such colour
Mary MacADNski: There is more detail as well.

B&W wins hands down.
Mary MacADNski: It is one of those shots that would get one of these mixed reactions. I might try somme otrher variations of that same shot.
I like both versions Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Very well. Some don't exert a preference.
C'est aussi joli en couleurs qu'en noir et blanc.
Mary MacADNski: Why not have both, eh?
Nice pair of pictures

I am not normally a fan of Justin Timberlake but I really like that version of True colours. I hadn't heard it before
Mary MacADNski: My oldest son sends me performances by him sometimes that are incredible. He watches American cable TV and I watch only netflix.
both are beautiful...
Mary MacADNski: Same shot so why not. No need to have a preference at all.

An interesting comparison.
Mary MacADNski: I usually do this on Mondays.
Makes a nice change in B&W, but the colour version really hits!
Mary MacADNski: The colour version shows more detail. The contrast is too much for this direct conversion.
