Simply Ice

A colour version too, and some music. The latter part of this video is so reminiscent of skating for me. The sounds and the stunning video take you right there. You can hear the perfect ice.

A whole Alien World for me, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Imagine that!
I've enjoyed our trip to Lake Baikal! smile
Mary MacADNski: Cool stuff in winters at other places. I cannot believe the clarity of the ice I have seen in these videos.

I think the ice looks cooler in blue, Mary
Mary MacADNski: I suppose it does.

Très jolis dessins faits par la glace.
Mary MacADNski: Ice shrinks the water first of all.

This is new territory for me
Mary MacADNski: I had my aunt walking and standing on the ocean a few years back. She couldn't believe it.
And when the ice creaks and groans while you're out on it, esp. at night, it is better than Halloween, Mary, right?! smile
Mary MacADNski: I suppose so. It does need to crack according to the different pressures.

Amazing how the B&W shows more. Great pictures.
Mary MacADNski: Some things translate well, other things, not at all.

I prefer the colour version - the icy blue. A fascinating video!
Mary MacADNski: I liked the video a lot.
The video is fascinating. The sounds of the ice. You tend to think of these frozen places as silent
Mary MacADNski: Oh my, Since finding this, I have found others of sounds on the ice. Something you don't think about but such a big part of the experience.

Could almost be an island taken from the air!
Mary MacADNski: I like that interpretation very much as I see that exactly.
For me the colour version is better, the mono one looks a bit like an aerial photograph. I guess it would be amazing to experience being in this ice at least once in ones life.
Mary MacADNski: I wish I could entice someone here for a week in winter. It can be amazing. It is only proper clothing that is needed to make the time enjoyable no matter the temps.
Colour for me, we could use a bit of crisp weather, very wet and foggy in Brexit Land.
Mary MacADNski: The deep frost helps kill some garden pests and is thus advantageous.

Lovely images, I particularly like the B&W version.
Mary MacADNski: I like that the choices have been up the middle for this one.

The crystalline struct is incredible; always unique. Lots of ice in the video.
Mary MacADNski: True. Every bit of new ice is unique but it all turns into one solid mass if allowed.
Ice has many forms and sounds...
Mary MacADNski: Isn't it true and wonderful!
Here the B&W works best, I think, Mary
Mary MacADNski: We're up the middle for this one.
