Always Ready

Island fishers always leave their boats clean and ready.

Get ready for the weekend with your choice of hits.

That is a good habit, heh!
Mary MacADNski: Yes, it is. They leave the harbour before dark.
A good habit to have, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: They leave the harbour before dark so everything must be ready.
They do look nice and sharp!
Mary MacADNski: Ready for the before dawn start.
It's a good habit for us all, Mary, and nothing risky about it!
Mary MacADNski: Very true, Ginnie.

Your choice of music brings back memories, Mary
Mary MacADNski: Both songs were popular in our times.

There is obviously pride taken in these craft
Mary MacADNski: They leave before dawn so there is no time for housekeeping then.

The garden furniture on deck suggests that this one is used for a little socialising as well as fishing.
Mary MacADNski: It certainly could be though I don't think they were on the poker run with us. - no drink bottles.
Presumably they have to be ready to go a short notice in the winter when you presumably get Atlantic storms which keep them back in the harbours.
The boat name could sum up the next 4 years
Mary MacADNski: I suppose so. Time will tell.

Fishing is indeed a risky business; one of the most dangerous occupations, I understand. The boat closer to the camera loos ready for afternoon tea, though, rather than venturing out on the high seas.
Mary MacADNski: It was on the weekend so they may have been on the boat doing something other thatn work.

I had a similar thought to Bill about the boat's name.
Mary MacADNski: Fishing is less dangerous here as we have what would be called mostly an inshore fishery though some fishers certainly work on these big ocean going fishing trawlers and such.

Even ready for an early morning coffee, before casting off.
Mary MacADNski: They leave before dawn. Tara is always posting sunrises from out at sea. No time for housekeeping then. They are keeping warm before they get to the grounds.
Had 102 views before an unfortunate resetting of date.
