Snowshoes make the most wonderful tracks!! I like the little animal tracks also!!
Mary MacADNski: I was amazed at the different types of tracks we encountered.

C'est joli sur cette neige immaculée.
Mary MacADNski: It was a lovely walk.
Making great tracks, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It was my friend's first time on snowshoes but it was very easy going.

So that is what discarded tennis racquets are used for!
Mary MacADNski: He ha. The attaching the tennis racket to the show is the magic.

I like this poetic image! The tracks look like hearts.
Mary MacADNski: My friend who helped make these tracks saw hearts right away when seeing these shots.

Snow shoes or a giant duck
Mary MacADNski: My friend's first time on snowshoes but the snow was so shallow it was a breeze.
the paw prints are a rather nice shot for me, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: For me too. I like looking at them around my house in winter.,

At first I though duck ... then worked it out smile

Great patterns in both images.
Mary MacADNski: Just walkabout speed, all of us.

Love it when the snow is so smooth except for the recent tracks.
Mary MacADNski: This snow was beginning to soften toward a major melt. A week of warm sunny days made waste of our snow.
There's some ineresting patterns in that top picture.
Mary MacADNski: My friend was having her first go at snowshoes. The top snow layer was not at all deep so she had a marvelous and easy time of it.

The snowshoe tracks look like some sort of delicate leaf patterns. I love to see animal trails in the snow, too.
Mary MacADNski: I like looking at them around my house in winter. The winter of my surgery my sister discovered a weasel (ermine in winter).
What kinda boid makes tracks like that?
Mary MacADNski: Female snowshoeing birds made these top tracks. Foxes and coyotes made the bottom tracks.

Like Chris and Anne, I immediately thought "duck"
Mary MacADNski: You must look at the beginning of my archives as I posted shots of duck tracks sunken and frozen in the ice - some of my favorite shots.
i love the image of the snowshoe tracks Mary...
the light in both pictures is wonderful and the long shadows of the trees makes the shot....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: It was late in the afternoon, later than I had planned.
The snowshoe tracks resemble hearts...
Mary MacADNski: The first time snowshoer accompanying me in these shots said the same thing when seeing the results.
Snowshoes, I'd guess - although I've never worn a pair!
Mary MacADNski: Yes, snowshoes this week.
