What a great shot! And wonderful music to accompany!
Mary MacADNski: Oh, thank you, Elizabeth.

Is it easy to walk in snow-shoes, Mary?
Mary MacADNski: It was that day as it was old snow. Sometimes fresh snow can be soft and the first person sinks down a bit, making it harder for the ones at the front if breaking trail. Days like pictured, easy as pie.
It sounds so strange to hear it like that, Mary: Jack's river is open. Or as another might put it, IT'S ALMOST SPRING.
Mary MacADNski: We have had very warm temps for a couple of weeks, most of the snow is melted and waterways are open. It could all change tomorrow and we would be in full weather mode.

Nice to see an enthusiast at work
Mary MacADNski: Yes, we both took shots of each other, it seemed.

First I thought of you as photographer- but then I realised your position - a wonderful winter image we can only dream of!
Mary MacADNski: We have had very warm temps for a couple of weeks, most of the snow is melted and waterways are open. It is going to be very cold again by the weekend. Winter is not over here. Book your ticket.
The photographer at work...hope the trousers were waterproof
Mary MacADNski: They were but I just wore jeans myself.

Excellent image, Mary!

Is that a friend...showing fine technique while grabbing a macro?

Is the Winter short this year?
Mary MacADNski: This is Jack's 'mom' last week when we both had the same day off. We have had very warm temps for a couple of weeks, most of the snow is melted and waterways are open. It is going to be very cold again by the weekend. Winter is not over here.
This is a good shot and shows how handy those snow shoes can be.
Mary MacADNski: The snow was very soft, wet, but solid actually because it was about 9 degrees Celsius and everything was melting.

That woman is praying for the shoots to become trees? Or some other native ritual. Great shot - I can imagine it is silent in this landscape.
Mary MacADNski: It was not at all quiet. We had been discussing the noise of the geese. Geese have been migrating by the thousands these past few weeks and the open bays are full of them.

Someone else with a photographer's eye, too.
Mary MacADNski: Not really. She took some of me. 
Lovely shot!
