friendly bird...
Mary MacADNski: They aren't really. They don't come near people. This is through a window so he feels safe.

Jolie présentation pour ce beau petit oiseau.
Mary MacADNski: Looking right at us.
This does look good in both color & B&W!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, not that much difference.
I like the coloured one, Mary...
Mary MacADNski: It is all puffed up looking grey but is a blue bird.

Cold Feet!
Mary MacADNski: Surely so as it was a cold day. This one was looking for food.

Well taken, I prefer the bottom one
Mary MacADNski: Through the window. This one was waiting for breakfast on a very cold day.

Your picture inspired me to Google this bird - he really is some blue
Mary MacADNski: It is our provincial bird, beautiful but loud, shy of people, and a bully at the bird feeder. Many were not pleased with the choice when made.
This looks like a fairy new chick Mary, well not just born, but newish.
Mary MacADNski: It is full grown but only seen from front on where it appears small. It is puffed up too, as it is a very cold morning this was taken.

What a fine looking chap. He's all fluffed up for the cold.
Mary MacADNski: It is all fluffed up on a cold morning, awaiting breakfast.
Better in colour Mary. Nice pic!
Mary MacADNski: Yes, more interesting, I'd say.
What a cute little character.
Mary MacADNski: They are afraid of people but know I am inside.

Oh, I love the colourful image- what a fluffy birdie, he might be warm despite the snow and coldness.
Mary MacADNski: It is fluffed up for insulation against the cold. It was awaiting breakfast.

Some detail of the jay is lost in b&w, making me favour the coloured version. I can't remember that I have ever done a bird in b&w.
Mary MacADNski: I did some black and white bird shots that I liked very much.
i like his downy feathers Mary... what a great presentation inside the circular frames... it's great in both colour and in b&w....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: Thanks very much, peter.
Nice treatment, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: thanks, Tom.
Yes I like the colours better
Mary MacADNski: I think I do too.
