i like both the pictures. in the b/w, i was a bit disoriented about the direction of light though. this is a nice spot
Mary MacADNski: There is a row of conifers to my right giving a shadow to the right half of the corn. The morning fog was burnt off up high where I was.

Both good...colour gooder!
Mary MacADNski: I agree that the colour is better.
Very pretty landscape, Mary! Love the mist / fog.
And another great song from Mr. Lee!
Mary MacADNski: Youtube leads me sometimes and led me to Mr. Lee at the right time. This was an autumn shot.

A bice b&w image with plenty going on
Mary MacADNski: The autumn morning mist was slowly burning off. I had driven through many layers.

Ohhhhh this is good, love the point of focus and a great picture for the B&W... love the fog/mist. These ate the best mornings. I just noticed the coloured version, also very good, different feeling to it though.
Mary MacADNski: This was autumn when we get morning mists. PEI is not foggy except for a few days in autumn and an occasional surprise on a spring morning.

I like the light on the corn stalks especially. Also the layer of mist.
Mary MacADNski: The corn stalks were my aim. They were so beautiful to me that morning and it was my first opportunity to stop.
I like this photograph Mary and prefer the monotone.
Mary MacADNski: It has interesting parts but a specific focus which is not normal in a landscape photo. Instead it is entitled Corn Field.
Mwe being awkward I would like to se the coloured foreground stalks with the rest in B.& W.
Mary MacADNski: Way beyond my capabilities but certainly doable from others.

You certainly get that misty feel in the B&W version.
Mary MacADNski: The fog was beautiful on the way in but on this stop I shot the corn. I must look back at it to see what other versions I have. I know I have shots from 2 different cameras uploaded around that time from that spot.
A good pic in either colour or b&w but I prefer the B&w but I would have cropped half the corn
Mary MacADNski: It would be a fun one to play with . I think I have others with different focuses.
The cornfield is waiting for growth-time...
Mary MacADNski: It was waiting to be harvested. It was in November and corn and soybeans are harvested late.
I think the B&W works well here!
