Old Man's Beard

A nice song and a bit of nostalgia for some of us of a certain age. I got to play Easter Bunny to my grandchildren this weekend and had a fun and memorable time. What a delight grandchildren are!

Looks like a nice find! Is it related to Spanish Moss?
I enjoyed the song - I'd not heard it before.
I'm so happy that you got to play Easter Bunny!
Mary MacADNski: I should have included a link. I recognized it recently in one of Martin's shot and on research found it is grown across the world.

The song, quite nice, and the weekend, a major hit!

I think probably the joy of grandchildren is that you can hand 'em back when you've had enough..
Mary MacADNski: It worked perfectly. Poppy, my ex has them for the week.

funny stuff and title!
Mary MacADNski: The title names the lichen that is shown here, grown around the world.
We had the family here at Easter and yes, grandchildren are a delight.
Mary MacADNski: We had the most awesome time! I will never forget it.

Ces plantes sont étonnantes.
Mary MacADNski: They grow in France too.
Grandchildren are a special breed for us Mary. I have not heard this song before.
Mary MacADNski: It is a local song. I have older grandchildren that live across the continent but these kids, I facetime with every single day.
A most unusual plant, I'm not familiar with that at all.
Mary MacADNski: It grows in every country in the world, I found out a few weeks ago researching when Martin posted a specimen.

How lovely you were able to play Easter bunny to your grandchildren, I am sure a great time was had by all smile
Mary MacADNski: We had the most fantastic time going on adventures several times a day, between meals and using Darla candy, then Easter Bunny candy as fuel. I was having as good a sugar high as they were.
i am glad you had a good time with your loved ones, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It was awesome but only about 30 hours. Read above comments to get it.

I expect this will be taken by the birds for nesting. I saw a jackdaw the other day plucking loose wool from for an alpaca. Now that would make a lovely nest.

I'll take you're word about grandchildren; I remain unvoiced!
Mary MacADNski: I have been actively brushing cats outdoors. Their hair and that of other animals is used to line nests of many birds.

I had a ball with the young ones. We had the most fantastic time going on adventures several times a day, between meals and using Darla candy, then Easter Bunny candy as fuel. I was having as good a sugar high as they were.

They are, Mary. I caught up with some of mine this weekend, too
Mary MacADNski: I have always known them, prolific in this part of the world that they are.
i don't remember seeing this plant before Mary...

i am sure that you made a fantastic Easter Bunny for your grandchildren... and spoiled them rotten....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: I am amazed it is a more southern plant as I had always thought it was northern - temperate forest, I guess. We had a real good time this past weekend.
I certainly get it. I have seen my own parents spoil my niece (from my brother's side) and act in such ways as i never recalled from my own childhood smile
A curious and clever picture...
