Wind

We are done with snow for the year but I had uploaded this shot from our last big wind storm. With this shot you see a small bit of brown silt over the snow but I recorded extreme wind erosion as well. What I am pointing out here is the deep arc made by the piece of stiff grass going back and forth in the raging wind.

Dirty snow...reminds me of the advice I was given before the first time I went cross-country skiing and camping ..."Don't eat the yellow snow!".
Mary MacADNski: I reminded peter of that the other day.
Wow - that is impressive!
Mary MacADNski: There were several and I was confused for a minute until I figured it out.

Well let's hope it soon is replaced by GREEN!
Mary MacADNski: If it would rain the green would explode. The sun can not work alone.
The final marks soon to be dissolved.
Mary MacADNski: It is all gone now. Winter is over!

An organic sculpture, how lovely Mary.
Mary MacADNski: There were several. and it was cool but not the brown silt everywhere.
That is a quirk of nature that I'm certainly not familiar with.
Mary MacADNski: It was severely windy for 36 or so hours.
your text certainly drives home the point of the weather elements, Mary. i was told by a Dutch colleague that at his place in the Netherlands, it was -10degrees... in mid April!
Mary MacADNski: On the 18th or 19th a record was broken here for coldest temp for this date since 1972. It was -9 overnight that broke the record.
I like those arcs--also present in sand dunes...
Well fancy that! Glad you are into spring at last
Mother Nature doing her stuff!
