My son has been helping me take care of the fallen trees from the winter. I am still amazed at losing so many trees in one season. There is another large pile of wood besides all shown here. This was shot a couple of weeks ago and all the cutting is done.

I found this video shot in January, of John Mayall on the cruise ship circuit, singing and playing Room to Move. He is eighty-three years old.

You will be able to turn a few decent candlesticks on your foot-powered lathe, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I have offered the apple wood to a bowl maker but he never showed up.
Good heavens! A lot of work!
Mary MacADNski: The cutting is done and now all the brush is to me removed.

Thank heaven you have a useful son Mary!
Mary MacADNski: He is a fellow who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty, a hard worker and very useful!

Your good son, I am amazed how many trees are in your garden - fruit trees?
Mary MacADNski: I have many apple trees, Philine. I lost two apple trees this winter as well as two large spruce trees.
You never have to buy in wood then Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I am giving it all away, Chad. I am a woman in my 60's and can heat a house with my hot flashes so have no need for wood.
Do you have a wood burning stove?

John Mayall is a true legend
Mary MacADNski: I have one that I am removing on Saturday. It hasn't been lit in 15 years and is taking up space.

I've read all this wood is going elsewhere, you look as though you must have quite a lot of ground to look after. John Mayall was always a favourite of mine during my younger years.
i can see that you lost a big one on the left in the first shot Bill...
there must be people who would buy the logs for fireplaces...

drop in tomorrow to see how we didn't loose any trees last night... my neighbor did...
it's cool and we were lucky....petersmile
That's some stack of firewood! And good on Mayall - to keep going, you keep going smile
That's a lot of fires...
