Swimming as Fast as I Can

That is not me in the shot but it feels like me this week. I have been busy readying for a work party being held tomorrow. A large crew are helping to remove all the wood and brush from the ravages of fall and winter season 2016/17.

I like the way PEI working bees seem to be fueled by beer, Mary.

"My Muma done tole me..."
I'm familiar with work parties every spring and fall, Mary, at the family cottage in Michigan. It takes lots of organizing (food, beds, tools, cleaning supplies, etc.), so I know what you mean. But what a grand way to take care of an important job. The camaraderie is just wonderful. Hopefully you'll have fun once it all gets started.

Best of luck with the party!
Always good to see a swimmer - swimming being potentially life saving as well as good exercise.

I know you will 'survive' the weekend and I know that you will love it in the end. I am with Ginnie and I hope you have time to enjoy too. Good luck and please take some pictures.

My first thought was: what a warm, convivial summer - my best wishes for your readying!
The one thing that comes over from your pictures and notes is that you seem to live in a very close community where you all look out for each other and work and socialise together for the good of you all.
Have a good party. We will be scattering Ange's cousin John's ashes on a railway in Hampshire
Everyone else looks as though they are enjoying themselves!
