Lilac Days

There will be no problem guessing the colour of the flowers. Of course this was early June, not the present.

Colour makes it, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Seems to be the preference.
In this particular case I prefer the color - not just because the color is so pretty, but you can see the DOF which is very nice!
Mary MacADNski: You are in the majority then.

I can smell them in colour, Mary!!
Mary MacADNski: That's how I feel too. The colour is so telling.

Lilac - the perfect perfume
Mary MacADNski: Other than the season here is short.
Gotta have color for this one, Mary. In fact, we saw purple lilacs yesterday while walking around in Den Haag!
Mary MacADNski: They would be the late varieties that we import. Our native ones are like the ones you would have grown up with.

I especially love the b&w image. I love the lilac and its fragrance!
Mary MacADNski: I think we are the only ones who prefer the black and white though I like the colour as a reminder of the fragrance.

Oh how lovely, reminds me of my black cat. I have their shape so endearing.
Mary MacADNski: It is always good to be reminded of a friend.
Works well as both. I love the outline of the cat
Mary MacADNski: Cat classic or classic cat.
i think i see a bit more details in the colour version, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: The details are a bit anoying to me so prefer the b/w; only Philine and I.

Heh, heh - since I don't know the plant, I will first have to guess they are flowers in the b&w. The blurred cat makes it a good picture, anyway.
Mary MacADNski: Lilac is a woody shrub with a highly scented bloom, loved by most.

You can almost smell that blossom - lovely composition Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thank you. Pointy ears and blooms do add up.

Well, I would have had no idea what colour they were. Your girl seems more interested in what's happening elsewhere.
Mary MacADNski: You must know lilacs, Alan, though I do know Europe has more types than here.
Effective in both treatments, Mary - although I like the colour contrast best.
Mary MacADNski: You are in the majority then, Tom.
