Atop a Dune

From the top of the dune where the boardwalk ends, you can't help but turn around to see where you've been.

Two very differing views from the same spot then

What a lovely walk with wonderful views.
Mary MacADNski: There are shorter courses as well, as well as a short walkway to the beach.

It's easy to keep pressing ahead and not look behind. The boardwalk has attracted other people. I like the ropes to keep people off the fragile dunes.
Mary MacADNski: i am standing beside a sign reminding people to stay off the dunes.

We could be at our North-Sea coast in Gemrany or Netherlands.
Mary MacADNski: This is our north shore too. I live on the south shore with the red sandstone.
As I said before I would like to walk that boardwalk and end up at this beach. In the top picture you can just make out the curvature of the Earth, fascinating.
Mary MacADNski: There are shorter courses as well, with a separate short walkway to the beach.
That is quite a boardwalk Mary
Mary MacADNski: The material is commonly used but when I heard about this new installation I had to see it myself, then realizing I was quite familiar with the type of material used in docks.
