Lookie Lews

You can see by the crowd on just one of the ships, why I was alright not going aboard.

C'est la fête sur ce bateau bien pavoisé.
Mary MacADNski: Quite a few were well-flagged and it is quite nice to see.
Yes - I would have felt the same! Nice shot!
Mary MacADNski: So frustrating not to know in advance though. Men, without purses and bags, could walk right in.
I totally understand, Mary. We got onto crowded vaporetto boats while in Venice but only because we wanted to get from point A to point B quickly.

People obviously love the experience
Mary MacADNski: We have not previously hosted so many tall ships though Halifax has many times, well attended by Islanders.

Those toy people make a useful scaling instrument, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I tried to get sardines.

This was my first impression: too many people - but the view on the ship is lovely.
Mary MacADNski: There were 12 tall ships in the harbour.

Ah yes.. far too crowded. I like the way the ships are dressed overall.
It certainly looks to be a very large craft.
Mary MacADNski: There were many small ones.

... but still you travelled all the way there, so you might have felt a little bit miffed smile Colourful bunting fluttering about. Maybe one can observe the crowds from a coffee shop and take Stooge type pictures.
Mary MacADNski: I walked around the barriers or to the end of them. I just didn't get aboard. If I had known beforehand that only those with bags needed to go in the long security lines, I would have just had my camera around my neck instead of a camera bag.
I would probably have avoided it too
