Spidey

This spider lives on the outside frame of my bathroom window.  I see many captures that she wraps and tucks away, this week, a large moth, not pictured here.

As you have described, Mary, Spiders can be very entertaining co-habitants.
Mary MacADNski: This one survives the winter tucked in there, a long time resident.
i like the markings on her, Mary. i shot a few with a macro lens some years back and was pleasantly surprised how photogenic they can be.
Mary MacADNski: It appears to be a face, a frightening aspect, it hopes, to birds and other prey.

Sounds as if it has a good place to live.
Mary MacADNski: This one survives the winter tucked in there, a long time resident. On Friday a friend wiped the web away. I told her of the spider who lives there. Some people think I'm eccentric.

She looks as if she has grown fat on all her catches, Mary. Our hedges will be full or orb-web spiders in a month or so
Mary MacADNski: She survives here all winter and I have watched her for years.
I wonder if she knows how much attention she's getting, Mary?! smile
Mary MacADNski: We see each other all the time.

Mary MacADNski: I like the B/W here as the colour is the usual.

Of course you are Mary not Astrid.
A fine spider that is better suited to being outside the bathroom
Mary MacADNski: Yes, she is safe there having lived there many years. She tucks into the frame when I clean the outside window.

It is always good to know 'one's neighbour'... as long as he stays outside I think you will be fine smile
Great pictures!
Mary MacADNski: We see each other every day and she has been on SC before.

A great image!
Mary MacADNski: She is famous once again.
What curious markings! Great pic Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Much like a face - to scare predators of course.

She looks to be doing well it on her captures.
Mary MacADNski: She has survived for many years on her stores she tucks away.
Better she stays on the outside rather than the inside Mary, she must be fascinating to watch.
Mary MacADNski: I have watched her for years. She tucks into the frame when I clean the outside window.
great macro Mary... the b&w is very dramatic but the coloured version shows gives us a descriptive view of the spider....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: This is true. I like the b/w as the other is so usual for me.
The B&W image shows off the patterns very nicely!
