photoblog image Evening Light

Evening Light

Last week I showed an inukshuk on the beach - same evening but different light as I faced another way.  I was back to this beach a few days later and the structures were gone.  There were three on the beach that night.

A gorgeous image, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: The light makes it.
Lovely, warm compositions, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: The light was gorgeous.
I love the red clay of your beaches there, Mary. But why would anyone destroy such works of art? I thought they were meant to stay "forever?"
Mary MacADNski: The tide took them away, Ginnie, not people.

After all that painstaking balancing too, Mary

Do you suppose that people like to dismantle them as well as build them?
Mary MacADNski: The tide did the dismantling here but I am sure some children would like to knock them over.
I'm glad to read it was the tide that took the earlier ones away, not vandals. I would love to build one of those.
