Te Amo

I am standing by the seats of the first ever wedding on the breakwater by the Summerside Yacht Club. I thought this boat name was coincidentally, a great prop for a wedding.

The SYC staff were so pleased with the use of the breakwater for a wedding ceremony they predict it might be a new offering from them in the future.

My grandson had a fifth birthday this week and I stole this shot from my daughter's facebook celebrating the fact. He's driving a boat!

A rather watery Friday, Mary!
Well perhaps a tradition will be started!! It does looke like a lovely setting! The photo of your grandson is wonderful!
There has to be a "first" for everything, Mary, so you can now relish your part in history in that spot.

YAY for your grandson growing up like this and learning about privilege and responsibility!

Ah, yes. The wedding venue, how important ... the dress, how important ... the seating, how important ... and a lot more of this, gets repeated, wedding after wedding. I am over the moon, as my last born (daughter) got married end of last year. I am very happy for her getting married to a more than decent guy - but those arrangements!!! I am also happy I don't have to go through that again.

And now my lament. Isn't it a pity that these young ones grow up so fast into adult manners. Just look at the obvious joy for steering a real boat.
Weddings can be held alomost anywhere over here these days providing the establishment has the appropriate licence and facilities. Your Grandson is certainly enjoying driving the boat.
His face is a wonderful mixture of apprehension and excitement
