Moon Music

My son was camping at the local campground this summer too.  Here, a friend visiting me from Ontario and I got shots of the strange sunset.  There were only what seemed like small slits in the cloud cover but the effect on the water was glorious.

Tonight is full moon and Susan Baca brings the soundtrack.

This is a superb sunset, and quite unusual as you say. An interesting piece of music - South American?
Mary MacADNski: Susana Baca is Peruvian. You said that her music reminded you of Cuba on Friday.
A fine golden sunset Mary
That is a really photogenic sunset Mary.

It does make a beautiful sunset. The sun is like a coin slipping through the slit of a piggy bank.

I never right off the chance to see any sunset regardless of the weather unless there is total cloud. This shot shows why.

I'm in Portland, OR, at the moment; no cloud cover but no sunsets either; the smoke from nearby forest fires has reduced the visibility to a few hundred metres and is giving a very errie light. The sun can just be seen at 4pm as a bright red ball. I'm hoping the coast will be better.

Sometimes we have these at our beach too. Don't you just love the reflections. What a wonderful sunset. Love the golden glow.
