the b/w shot really forces attention on the foreground, Mary
Mary MacADNski: Certainly the difference is apparent.
A lovely little composition!
Mary MacADNski: I have to get to the beach one more time.

Love your pink beach!
Mary MacADNski: I want to get there one more time but there is so much work to do before freeze up. Taking holiday time in autumn has it's disadvantages.

This time I like the black and white version - it seems to shine
Mary MacADNski: Id does separate background and foreground better.
I really like the definition of the B&W image, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It seems to be the winner so far.

Natural art?
Mary MacADNski: Not piled by me anyway.

I like the b&w phot, which, though a simple scene, is also captivating. I like Tom Waits.
Mary MacADNski: I like Tom and love Dan.
A simple b&w that works so much better than colour
Mary MacADNski: It does work better, nicely.
Yes more impact in B&W
Mary MacADNski: It does work better. Thank you.

An industrial/natural arrangement. I agree with Ayush.
Mary MacADNski: Natural would be the interpretation here for me. Just a found scene on the beach.
Looks great in black and white--so nice and sharp.
Mary MacADNski: It is much better, isn't it.
I like both but the detail in the central items comes out better in the B.& W.
Mary MacADNski: It is fun to try out the different offerings.
Nice shot, Mary - and Tom Waits is one of my favourites - saw him perform in London about 30 years ago - he was brilliant - his take-off of Tony Bennet was amazing smile
Mary MacADNski: I like Tom and loved Dan. He sadly died two years ago.

Mary MacADNski: It seems to work better this time.

Nature provides some gems for us photographers (or at least those with your eye for the detail smile ). B&W works well here.
Mary MacADNski: A random shot but it did work well with black and white
i like the b&w Mary... it has more contrast....petersmile
