With Apologies to Colour

This week will be filled with colour - other than Black and White Monday's bit of gloom.

Found this gem on YouTube with Judy Collins singing Someday Soon with it's writer, Ian Tyson. I love both artists and their different early versions.

Je préfère avec les belles couleurs de l'automne.
Mary MacADNski: I think most people agree with you.
A very pretty view, Mary
Mary MacADNski: Along the river is always nice for the grasses.

Colour for me, Mary. The song was nice to gentle in the day
Mary MacADNski: Ian Tyson has written some truly great songs. Judy Collins remains one of my favorite singers still.

I don’t find it gloomy at all Mary, I find it quite restful and beautiful.
Mary MacADNski: The colour wakes it up is all.
The thing about color is it comes with no apologies, Mary. Nor does B&W. The way it should be!
Mary MacADNski: I suppose so but the colour brings it to life.

I always love the Autumn colours, it is one of the wonders of nature.
Mary MacADNski: Yes and they have come and gone. With some heavy wind events only the unripe are still on the tree.
Colour works far better here for me Mary
Mary MacADNski: It brings everything alive.

The colour version works best for me, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Most are in agreement.
It does look gloomy in monochrome, but full of life in colour.
Mary MacADNski: Autumn gold is such a delight.

Colour always good (well usually) in a landscape photo. The small reddish brown leaves just left of centre are more apparent in the colour image.
Mary MacADNski: Only the birds help this one for the b/w conversion.

Both have their plus points. The trees look better in b&w and the rest better in colour. For what it is worth...
Mary MacADNski: Colour was the favorite amongst the many and autumn's gold is hard to beat. I think the birds contribute more in b/w.
Not gloomy...
Mary MacADNski: No, not gloomy with the birds taking the gloom away.
