I'm sure everyone has heard the Rolling Stones original song. Here is a very different version.

What a beautiful bowl! Is it native made?
And wow - what a very different version of this song. I like it!
Mary MacADNski: I painted the bowl. Each of the others have one with my left hand on it. He wanted one with my right. This one has a left hand on one side, a right hand on the other side. It is done in the style of Mendi. It does not show here but a lot of it is done in metallic paint. I like this very different version too. Wakes you up.
I like the hand with what appear to be mitochondria... smile
Mary MacADNski: I do wash them a lot....

It has elements of Australian Aboriginal Art about it, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I was surprised to see your county's art. One of my bedroom floors pays homage to Australian art.
it looks very good, Mary. i think i like the black and white more.
Mary MacADNski: Some of the paint is metallic and that is not noticeable at all in colour. Knowing which it is, I can see it easily in the black and white.
C'est très joli, ce doit être l'empreinte de sa main.
Mary MacADNski: There is a hand on each side.

Your son knows your tastes, Mary
Mary MacADNski: I made it for him. My other kids have one with my left hand on it. He wanted one with my right. This one has a left hand on one side, a right hand on the other side. They are different. I signed the little finger of the left hand - Mom.

A fine looking thing isn't it
Mary MacADNski: Thank you. Past answers to comments have the story.
I like the color version, Mary, but the B&W really makes the design stand out. WOW.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ginnie. He has waited for many years for his bowl. I have lots of traditions with my kids.

It looks quite unusual for a bowl Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It holds the shape of both of my hands. The others have one with my left hand on it. He wanted one with my right. It has both.It is in the Indian style of Mendi.

made by yourself? It looks a bit like made by Indian natives.
It is a fine bowl Mary. Did you make it?
What an unusual idea but so well done, I like the colour version but the B.& W.one is pretty good as well.

Ah..OK.. it;s a bowl with your handprint on. I'm glad I'm late to this and can read the other answers. I was thinking it was a bowl in any case
