photoblog image Ma Alma

Ma Alma

Alma was a wonderful houseguest over the holidays. She took over a large basket that I had bought since she'd last been here. I bought it for my cats who, of course, would not enter it under any circumstance. Said basket is now at Alma's house.

Addendum 12 January: Alma is still here. I assumed all the things I was writing after the new year would have happened already. Instead, Alma hides when my son comes and again is unwilling to go home. It will be worked out soon. Today was very warm, +14.  Everyone was out including the cats. It is still very warm but heavy rain is to begin soon.  I am flood prepared.

Alma seems to be getting more handsome with age, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: She actually looks very old in the body, I find. She is very thin. I have dewormed her since her attendance here.
She is such a gorgeous creature! I can understand that she'd want to stay with you...
Mary MacADNski: She was here for half a year before she first moved to Jesse's. This is home - with other cats rather than dogs.

She s very pretty
Mary MacADNski: She is very small now, light as a feather.
this portrays a cat with a real strong personality
Mary MacADNski: She guards my bedroom at night. She definitely deters Ruby but Purrl learned to jump over her.

I bet your cats would much prefer the cardboard box that basket came in smile I wonder why Alma does not want to go home? Would you take her on?
Mary MacADNski: I have lots of cool places for the cats.

Alma was given to my son just as he began negotiations to buy his house. The reno took five months so Alma moved in here a month before so was here over half a year before she ever went to my sons. I have always had two female cats, both sister pairs, and my son has always had girlfriends with dogs. My son travels extensively from November to April so she is sometimes here all winter. Of course she wants to live with me.

This happened last year too that once she knew he was home she hid. It took weeks to coordinate a meeting. He got home from his Mexican trip on 02 January. It seems to be happening again.
Obviously, Alma knows where she is best off!
Lovely Alma, stubborn Alma. smile
