A nice capture, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ma'am.

such a small wake for such a large boat
Mary MacADNski: I would call it small as the boat is going slowly. These fishing boats make a large wake when moving fast.

I like the unusual names people give to their boats - I saw one yesterday called "Read, Steady, Slow"!
Mary MacADNski: That is a good ship's name as it means something.
I'm "doin' time" looking at the other boat/activity, Mary. HA!
Mary MacADNski: We CAN do time in pleasant ways.

Doing time in the UK means a prison sentence
Mary MacADNski: It can mean that here too but lots of time's it refers to a job and waiting for retirement.

Doin’ time! What a name.the singer has a good voice.
Mary MacADNski: His writing is like many, better than his voice. Think Dylan, Waits and Cohen. His songs are vivid.
I rather like John Prine. This must be an old video!
Mary MacADNski: That is what I liked about it,He was so new looking.
I lkke that you've only given us half the boat with that lovely wake and great reflection.
Mary MacADNski: It may have surprised me.

It seems a strange name for a boat.
Mary MacADNski: I think it refers to waiting for retirement.
A sad song.
Mary MacADNski: His songs are very storylike and often sad like the one I played a while back, Hello in There. This old video is priceless to see as he is so young and pure.

I cannot translate this name - enjoying time?
Mary MacADNski: It can be defined as waiting, such as the work you do waiting for retirement.
Another meaning, as Chris mentions, is being in jail for example, "He's doing time for his crime". Leave out the g on doing and it is slang.
Sea, canal or lake? It could be one of three difficult to define
Mary MacADNski: This is the sea. We are a sandbar island in the sea.
i could do time on her as long as i didn't have to row it Marygrin....petersmile
Mary MacADNski: No rowing here. You would love one of our boat days, peter.

A very relaxed wake...
Mary MacADNski: Slowly cruisin' by, perhaps getting ready to stop.

I would not mind doing time in that boat and do some fishing as well....
Mary MacADNski: You would love our way of life here.
