photoblog image A Local Beach

A Local Beach

Back in May, on Mother's Day, I went to retrieve some big rocks with my son. I showed some shots at the time and a gif of me driving the boat. I remember the day fondly.

Found this on Bits and Pieces and I don't know, this fellow looks familiar.

Goodbye January.

The richness of the rocks and sand make it look almost good enough to eat.
Mary MacADNski: It is delicious, I must say.

Fabulous place to be playing with a boat, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: If I knew more about what I was doing it would be considered playing. Until then, following instructions.
LOL at the 4-wheeler, Mary. If we can't take a joke as we age, what good are we???!
Mary MacADNski: If that doesn't look like Chris!
Ange and I saw Lindisfarne in concert a few years ago
Mary MacADNski: That would have been great.
THat is a beautiful small length of your coastline Mary.
Mary MacADNski: In our home bay on the south shore.

Great composition of your main picture. The guy with the four-wheeler could easily be the Stooge with the beard.
Mary MacADNski: Thank you. I thought he looked like a stooge too.

What a lovely looking coastline, is it always as calm as this?
Mary MacADNski: It is mostly calm on the south shore of the island, nestled as it is.

beautiful scene to leave January
Mary MacADNski: Thank you so much, the local beaches are for rock hounds. The north shore beaches are for sand seekers.

Life indeed is fleeting..
Mary MacADNski: Don't I know it. What a day.
Good to see the aged out and about, what a zany idea
Mary MacADNski: I got a laugh. It does look like our Chris a bit.

Looks to be a good day for doing it. Not much chance of being swept out to sea - hopefully!
Mary MacADNski: It was wonderful as we walked the beach in the morning piling the rocks, I wanted and came back for them later at high tide.

I love the way how the ground sinks into the see and the trees on top of it. Wonderful picture. HA I love the old geezer with his toy... and yes 'having fun' is the trick....
Mary MacADNski: It was high tide here. We walked the beach in the morning piling the rocks, I wanted and came back for them later at high tide.
January is going out with hail and snow here!
Mary MacADNski: I am watching the big moon rise.

I see we are in the red cliffs country, your home. Your friend is right to get some walking help, herfe the agrd peole are using a two- wheeled rollator, but they can sit on a board, if they are tired, and they can transport some things in a basket attached at the rollation, a wonderful invention for old people.
Mary MacADNski: Yes this is not my normal beach but another local one. I am glad you recognised it.

I am always taken by your lovely red rock, Mary
Mary MacADNski: Like one of your areas. This is at high tide. We walked the beach in the morning piling the rock I wanted and came back for them later at high tide.
One day I will have a 4-wheeler like that...
Mary MacADNski: One with an added seat and a basket is good.
Love the red soil - I feel a connection between us when we show our landscapes!
The Joke is a good one!
Mary MacADNski: Bill mentioned Devon and and sherri mentioned arkansas. Every continent has an area of red soil.

I thought the guy looked like Chris. It is the beard of course.
