Ski Day

I went to the ski hill in Sussex, New Brunswick a couple of Saturdays ago with my daughter's family. The weather was beautiful so the ski park was packed and it was hard to find the kids in the crowds.  My granddaughter is sitting on the right in the chairlift and my son is going to meet his group at the top of the bunny hill where they spent the day as the main hills were too busy.

Does PEI also have a Snow-themed resort, Mary?
Mary MacADNski: We do have snow themed resorts but only one ski hill. We are basically a sand dune so no major hills. Only PEIslanders would call it a ski hill. The mainlanders call it a bunny hill.

sounds like a wonderful time

wonderful captures
Mary MacADNski: My daughter was an infant when I was last at this ski hill so thirty-four years ago and now her kids are five and seven.
Fun photos, Mary! It can be hard to find ANYONE on slopes sometimes! All bundled up... Great song pic, too!
Mary MacADNski: One other girl the same size as my granddaughter had the exact same ski outfit. Only that little purple band/face cover was different so my point of recognition. I am listening to the song for the second time since starting to respond to comments.

Skiing holds no terrors for those who start this young
Mary MacADNski: Exactly, Chris. I am not a skier for that reason.

I wish I had been able to learn to ski at this age. I've had around six of seven years ski-ing in the fabulous snow of Utah. bit not bene for some years now.
Mary MacADNski: I did not ski as a child either but my ex's family was really into skiing. I am a skater and snowshoer.

I envy them Mary, it’s a big deal for me to go skiing.
Mary MacADNski: A bit from my answer to Ray: PEI has only one ski hill. We are basically a sand dune so no major hills. Only PEIslanders would call it a ski hill. The mainlanders call it a bunny hill.

What a treat for the children, but a pity about the crowds
Mary MacADNski: They have season passes so go every weekend that is possible even in the not great weather. The treat was for me as I have not been to that hill since my daughter was an infant - thirty four years ago.

What a fine advdenture! I especially like the upper image.
Mary MacADNski: I have not been to this spot for 34 years.
Starting young. I have never been on a pair of skis in my life
Mary MacADNski: My advise is to not start now. I started too late and am terrified.
Always too chilly a sport for me smile
Mary MacADNski: Cold is not a problem when you are dressed properly. Warm dressing has come a long way.
Looks like they found the adventure...
Mary MacADNski: They love it and go every weekend.
Hey, but then I'm not the only one who practices skiing.
Mary MacADNski: My daughter's family has season's passes as they are only 40 minutes to a hill. They go every weekend and any other chance they get. They plan a ski vacation for later this winter too.
